ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION
Our corporate actions are based on a clear attitude: We are committed to preserve a healthy environment! This is why we are about to become a “climate-neutral company”.
We aim to reduce and offset CO2 through a series of voluntary investments and measures – e.g. by supporting the “World Forest Climate Initiative” launched by the Senate of Economic Affairs.
Since the beginning of 2019, we have been working and producing in a 100% climate-neutral way.
OUR CLIMATE NEUTRALISATION EFFORTS
Climate-neutral commuting to work
Since 01th January 2017, our employees have been commuting to their workplace in a climate-neutral way. So how? Because we have offset every CO2 emission by financing forests in a high mountain region of southern Ethiopia.
Worldwide reforestation projects
We have joined the World Forest Foundation (WFF), an international reforestation programme to combat climate change.
Climate-neutral power supply
Due to the use of photovoltaic we already generate a part of our electricity demand by ourselves. Our remaining electricity requirements are entirely covered by green power.
Climate-neutral heating
We use the heat generated in production process for our company premises.
Paperless office
We have introduced a document management system with which we save half of our original paper requirements.
Zero-emission mobility
We use hybrid and e-vehicles in our fleet.
