Liquid silicon, LSR in short, is a material with rising popularity and it can be assumed that its success will continue in future. The essential reasons for this positive trend are LSR’s high temperature resistance and high flash point which can be decisive – and not only in automotive industry.
Liquid silicon is a good choice for large quantities in particular: It cross-links quickly and thus enables a high output. Our part-specific, optical testing equipment is able to even recognise smallest deviations in ongoing production at an early stage.
Liquid silicon features high-tech material properties along with rational production at the same time. We would be glad to provide you with detailed information about this high-performance material and its wide variety of applications for demanding projects.
The cross-linking method of the liquid silicon moulding compounds allows a high vulcanisation speed and therefore significantly shorter cycle times than conventional rubbers.
By using the latest moulding technology, moulded parts made from liquid silicon can be produced without sprue or burr and therefore high-cost manual finishing is not necessary. Tool design, but the injection technology in particular, is of great importance for a cost-effective production.
